Why did the Beaverkill Rod Company decide to distribute its product through guides, lodges and direct on the Internet?
By going direct, we can provide a $600 rod at considerable savings to the customer.

What's unique about the Beaverkill Fly Rod?
Our fly rods offer three actions (fast, medium, and slow) in most weights. Therefore, if you enjoy a medium action, 4 weight rod, you will not need to adjust your casting style if you want to step up to a medium action, 6 weight. In addition, Beaverkill fly rods are designed to upline and downline 2 weights. For example, a fast action can go up 2 weights, a fast 5 will become a medium 6 or a slow 7. A medium 5 will be a fast 4 or a slow 6. A slow 5 will be a medium 4 or a fast 3. Learn more.
What graphite do you use?
These rods use the most current technology, graphite, resin and scrim. Several graphites are used in our rods. The base graphite used is 42 million modulus with a tensile strength of 800.
Where are your rods made?
All of our blanks are made in the United States and all rods are finished in the United States.
What components do you use?
We use the finest components equivalent to what you would find on any $600 fly rod. Uplocking reel seats are aluminum coated with titanium carbide. This provides outstanding corrosion resistance and strength while ensuring low weight. Reel seat wood inserts are made of the finest bird's eye maple. Reel seats for our heavier salt water fly rods are made from the finest black anodized aluminum. We use TICH (Titanium Carbide) high frame stripping guides with silicon carbide rings to reduce friction and ensure longer and easier casting. We use stainless steel TICH coated snake guides and tiptops. All rods also include a TICH winding check and TICH hook keeper. We only use the best super grade cork for our grips.Learn More.
What else does your rod come with?
Your rod comes with a green cordura zippered carrying case with handle. The case is internally divided into three sections. You will never loose the rod sock or screw top.
Why a three-piece rod?
There are several reasons. First of all, rod action and performance are heavily influenced by the placement of the stripping and snake guides. A three-piece rod allows for the correct placement of these guides without interference from the sectioning of the rod, as is often the case with 4 and 5 piece rods. Second, a three-piece rod is certainly more convenient to carry and stow than a two-piece rod. It fits in a case that is easily checked on airplanes.
What about the warranty?
Our 25-year warranty is to the original owner of the rod. We guarantee the workmanship and materials of the rod. If the rod fails due to workmanship or material failure, we will replace the rod at no cost. If the rod is broken or damaged for some other reason, for example, you slam it in the door of a car, drive over it, or the dog chews the handle, we will replace or repair the rod for $50 plus shipping and handling, assuming the rod is still owned by the original owner and it is registered with us.Learn More.
